The Quran

al-Quran

The Companions lived with the Quran every day. Some became known for the beauty of their recitation, some for knowing where and why each verse was revealed, and some for teaching it in cities where nobody yet knew it.

The practices here are small and repeatable: a page at night, a surah before sleep, reciting to someone who can correct you, and passing on even a few verses to someone else.

“The best among you (Muslims) are those who learn the Qur'an and teach it”

Sahih al-Bukhari 5027Sahih · from the page on Uthman ibn Affan
