Gratitude

ash-Shukr

Gratitude for the Companions meant noticing blessings, thanking the people through whom they came, and using ease for good rather than forgetting where it came from. They also feared that comfort might make them forget those who had gone before with nothing.

These practices help you notice what you have been given, and thank both Allah and the people around you.

“if he has an occasion to feel delight, he thanks (God), thus there is a good for him in it”
