Trust in Allah

at-Tawakkul

Trust in Allah, for the Companions, never meant doing nothing. They planned, worked and consulted, and then handed the outcome over: praying istikharah before a decision, calling on "the Master of al-Zubayr" to pay a debt, asking Allah before asking people.

These practices pair a practical step with a moment of reliance on Allah.
