Brotherhood and sisterhood
al-Ukhuwwah
In Madinah the Prophet ﷺ paired each emigrant with a helper as a brother, and the Companions took that bond seriously. They shared food when it ran short, accepted invitations, greeted one another first after a quarrel, and prayed for each other in secret.
These practices are about the people around you: friends, neighbours, colleagues and the community at the mosque.
“the better of the two will be the one who greets the other first”
