Common questions
How do I restore my Aqdam Plus purchase?
On the new device, sign in with the same Apple ID, open Aqdam, and tap Restore Purchases on the Plus screen. Plus is tied to your Apple ID, not to an Aqdam account (there isn't one).
How do I cancel my subscription?
Open Settings on your iPhone, tap your name, then Subscriptions, then Aqdam. Or go to apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions. Cancel at least 24 hours before the trial or the current period ends to avoid the next charge. Your logs stay on your iPhone either way. See the subscription terms.
How do I move to a new phone?
If you restore your new iPhone from an iCloud or computer backup, Aqdam's data comes with it. Without a backup: on the old phone, go to You → Export my data and save the file (for example to Files or AirDrop it). On the new phone, install Aqdam and use You → Import data. Aqdam shows a preview before it merges anything.
My prayer times don't match my masjid.
Go to Prayer → Settings. Choose the calculation method your masjid uses (there are nine, plus custom angles), set standard or Hanafi Asr, and add per-prayer minute adjustments if your masjid adds them. Check that your location or chosen city is right.
The Hijri date is a day off.
Aqdam follows Umm al-Qura, and the date changes at Maghrib. If your community started the month a day earlier or later, set the Hijri offset in Prayer → Settings.
Does Aqdam need my location?
No. You can allow location so times follow you, or search for a city instead. Location is used on your iPhone to calculate times and is never sent to us. To change permission, open Settings → Aqdam → Location.
I'm not getting reminders.
Check Settings → Aqdam → Notifications is on, then check each prayer's bell on the Prayer screen. Focus modes can hide notifications; Aqdam's prayer reminders can be allowed as Time Sensitive.
How do I add a widget?
Touch and hold an empty area of your Home Screen, tap Edit, then Add Widget, and search for Aqdam. For the Lock Screen, touch and hold the Lock Screen, tap Customize, then the widget area. The next-prayer widget is free; the interactive Today widget is part of Plus.
How do I delete all my data?
Go to You → Reset app. This deletes everything Aqdam stores on your iPhone and cannot be undone, so export first if you want a copy. Deleting the app also removes its data.
